WORQ is expanding its coworking footprint beyond the Klang Valley, with plans to establish a presence in Johor and Penang by 2026. The company aims to open up to four new outlets annually, driven by Malaysia’s economic growth and increasing demand for flexible workspaces.

Stephanie Ping, Co-Founder and CEO of WORQ, highlighted the potential of Southeast Asia in attracting businesses, stating, “There is a clear opportunity for countries such as Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand to benefit from this as businesses move away from dependency on a single country like China.” She emphasized that coworking spaces are evolving to meet these needs, saying, “With more adaptable membership options and tech-enabled workspaces, these spaces are now better equipped to support the diverse working models encouraged by the government’s new policies.”

Andrew Yeow, CFO and Strategist of WORQ, reinforced the company’s commitment to growth, noting, “Klang Valley is still the core area for our expansion, but whether it’s up north in Penang or down south in Johor, these are, I would say, the natural next cities we will be exploring.” He added that economic activity and increasing demand in these states will drive WORQ’s next phase of expansion.

With Malaysia’s business-friendly policies and the rise of hybrid work models, WORQ’s expansion is set to transform how businesses operate in key commercial hubs.
