In Malaysia, there are over 600,000 registered persons with disabilities (PWDs), yet as of September 2023, only around 12,000 are employed. This stark gap highlights the urgent need for more inclusive workspaces that empower everyone, regardless of ability. At WORQ, we’re proud to be part of the solution. We’re committed to creating environments where people of all abilities can thrive, and we actively support entrepreneurs like Amirul Safuan, who launched his fragrance brand at WORQ.
As co-founder Andrew Yeow shared, “When my co-founder Stephanie Ping and I started WORQ, we wanted to solve two big challenges: the real estate element and the community element.” This vision has shaped our approach to designing spaces that are not only accessible but also foster collaboration and inclusivity.
At WORQ, we believe that by prioritizing both accessibility and a strong sense of community, we can create workspaces where everyone feels welcomed and valued. It’s about more than just physical spaces—it’s about creating opportunities and breaking down barriers for people with disabilities in the workforce.
